Design
The design for this club rack was inspired by this post on r/GolfSimulator. However, I needed to fit the entire stand in 36″ space and also wanted to implement slightly larger spacing for woods and driver. I also wanted to move the “slot” for the clubs further into the cross-piece so that the clubs are less likely to slip out of their defined spots.
The CAD mockup actually was slightly wider than I ended up going. The gap between the furthest right slot and the right-riser is slightly smaller than appears in the rendering.

Build
- Cut all wood to appropriate lengths.
- Join all base pieces and risers with kreg jig using screws and wood glue for piece of mind.
- Note that I tried to keep all pocket holes either internal or on the back so that they are less likely to be noticed.
- Drill holes for club slots in cross-piece
- Router all edges with either round-over or chamfer.
- Attach cross piece to risers using kreg jig, wood screws, and glue.
- Glue in pocket hole plugs for any visible pocket holes.
- Sand everything. 80 > 150 > 220
- Stain
- 3 coats of Poly, hand-sanding in between coats w/ 220 grit.
- Cut turf to fit base
